Rainier Roof Restoration

Went great. Provided inspection, warned I needed new roof. Declined cleaning and got a new roof.

It was very good. Clean up and thorough job, turn out really well.

I originally reviewed wrong company - sorry. 1st to respond to my request. Price was average. Performed duties within 3 days of request. Did an excellent job. Took pictures Cleaned my roof where moss had started in a few places!!

Over priced for the quality of work performed. Had to have some of the work redone.

Called 2 weeks ago to get a quote for moss removal. Anthony (owner?) called today (8/28/2018) at 1PM and said that his crew would be over in a couple of hours; around 3-4 PM. Well, it's now 7PM and no show or call. Would I hire such an unreliable contractor? Duh?

They never answered my detailed request for a bid.

This company did a great job. I had the roof repaired previously by other contractors and this company took the time to do it right. I have not had any problems since the repair. They also did a great job in cleaning the roof and gutters and left the overall area clean. I would definitely use them again.

The workers were prompt and courteous. They quickly initiated the project as efficiently as anyone who has cleaned our roofs. The results were outstanding and we would hire them again. The office staff was also efficient and it was a pleasure working with the entire company because we felt like very important clients and they worked very hard to please us.

Great communication from the owner. The team performed the work was efficient. We didn't want to replace our shake roof yet and while it wasn't cheap the work done was needed and it looks great. In fact, I didn't realize i hadn't finished this review -- it's a year later and the roof looks fabulous still. Our neighbors had their done years ago and it still looks great too.

rainier uses an extremely good cedar protection oil but charges a little too much for the shakes it installs.

Services included replacing a few boards, brightening, pressure washing, sanding and staining. Care was taken to cover the plants, hot tub and pond. Terrible - put wrong finish on deck - took five months to complete

I e-mailed them and Kim got back to me via e-mail to ask a few more questions. She stated someone would contact me to make an appointment to check out my roof. I waited a week and after not being contacted I e-mailed her again to see if maybe there was a miscommunication. She never replied.

It went very good. They worked like dogs, the roof is beautiful and they were on time. They were the only one of the 3 Angie's List shake roof repair/clean companies that didn't just do an estimate from google satellite pictures but they actually showed up within 24 hrs and went up on the roof and did their estimate from what they saw. As for the roof it looks wonderful and they are coming back to treat my roof with oil to preserve it this summer. I'd hire these guys again. They deployed tarps because roof grime gets everywhere. I'd advise you to pre-deploy your own tarps on anything super important. it is inherently a messy process and while they spent a fair bit of time covering, you know what is important to you best. My cost was largely determined by the number of shakes they had to replace.

I have been satisfied with the work. Especially glad to have had the shingles replaced. My roof needs to be replaced and the maintenance and repair has been useful while I take bids. I have used this co several times for roof and gutter cleaning. I do recommend Rainier Roof Restoration for roof maintenance and gutter cleaning.

Have been using Rainier to maintain my shake roof for the past 15 years. The way I think of it, I am gradually replacing the roof by replacing loose and worn shakes and treating the old ones with an oil based stain. All my neighbors have replaced their roofs at a cost of $15 - $20 thousand. Anthony comes to replace shakes and pressure washes every other year and treats with oil every four years. The cost has been averaging $1,200 but $2,400 when treated with oil. I have been pleased and my roof looks new.

Very professional - the roof looks great!

They're an excellent company. It cost us a lot of money to have it fixed but they fixed it really well. They did a really good job. They were not inexpensive but they were very, very good. I was very pleased with their dedication and their work. We were happy even it cost us a lot of money. They fixed the problem. We were so impressed because not every roofing company is willing to work on our roof.

I have had Rainier treat the roof twice in the 20+ years I have lived here and it still looks new. Neighbors are now spending $35K - $50K to replace their roofs. Rainier uses a heavy oil and chemical based spray that was recommended by a Texas university and forest service agency that really works. Pricing is high but the bottom line is that it has saved money in the long run.

Overall good. Client is good at making sure the job was finished to my satisfaction.

this is the second time they are coming out within four months to repair my leaking roof.they said we cant guarantee our work

A December (Thursday evening) wind storm apppeared to damage a short section of my roof ridge. I found a 4-6 inch section of ridge vent and 4 pieces of shingle used on roof ridge in my yard on Friday morning. I immediately went to Angie's list to select 4 local roofing contractors that did repair work. I left messages and my phone number with all 4 contractors and Anthony with Rainier Roof Restoration was the first to respond. I scheduled him to come out Friday afternoon and I took the day off to be available for that appointment. No set time was offered just that he would have someone out. No one appleared but Anthony did call and say that an employee would be at my place on Saturday morning which did occure. Door-to-departure took the roofer 40minutes. Time on the roof was 20minutes. Materials(listed above) were minamal. The short 6 inch section of roof-ridge venting was not replaced. Rather the roofer used pieces of shingling to repair and cover the 12 inch section of roof-ridge exposed. I asked the employee for the bill and he said that Anthony would bill-by-mail which did occure. I received a bill for $519.66 and went into shock. I thought long and hard about the appropriatness of this bill. I did send a check for the full amount and a personal letter to Anthony recaping the what I saw first hand as described and asked for an explanation as to charges. Anthony did call me and stated that " I can't put a roofer on a roof for less than $475 due to L&I, truck expenses, etc". He seemed suprised that I was questioning the charge that I thought was excessive. We discussed that he never gave me a quote,prior to or during the roof exam, nor did he explain that he essentially had a "Minimum Charge" of $475. My review of Rainier Roof Restoration is based on the lack of financial clarity (no quote, $475 min charge). If I had been given this information upfront I would have talked to other roofers on Angie's list to see if this contractor was competitive.

Rainier Roof Restoration did an excellent job repairing our cedar shake and was really great working within our budget and finished way ahead of schedule. We really appreciated that very much. The guys working on our house were very kind and professional and I would highly recommend them again. We even had a total stranger ring our doorbell asking who did our roof because it looked so great.

Anthony was very responsive to the request for a roof cleaning and shingle replace of our cedar shake roof. His estimate was accurate. I my experience the lowest estimate is not always the lowest end price. It is usually the one that ends up adding on more cost in the end, since it was just an "estimate" and they wanted to "lowball" the bid to get the business. Anthony's estimate was honest and accurate, no surprises. Job done efficiently and timely.

Referred by another customer that was satisfied with their work. I had recently purchased this home and knew it needed maintenance. Everyone on the team was terrific. I have had them out the following year, and will call them next year. I have and will continue ti use this company.
